Trip Details

Start/End: Kathmandu to Kathmandu

Duration: 34 days

Difficulty: Challenging

Maximum Elevation: 7,129 m (Summit of Mt. Baruntse)

Best Time: March to May

Accommodation: Camping

Mt. Baruntse is in the heart of the Khumbu region, crowned by four peaks and bounded on the south by the Hunku Glacier, on the east by the Barun Glacier, and on the northwest by the Imja Glacier. The mountain stands majestically surrounded by many mountains - Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu to the north and Makalu on the opposite side. The summit overall isn't so technical but is physically demanding.
