Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square also referred to as Hanuman Dhoka Square is one among the main attractions in Kathmandu Valley. it's declared as world heritage site by UNESCO. The name Hanuman-dhoka Durbar came from the statue of Hanuman established by the King Pratap Malla at the doorway of the royal palace in 1672 A.D. storeyed residence built by King Prithvi Narayan shah in 1770,is called Basantapur Durbar(palace). the entire complex is additionally referred to as Kathmandu Durbar Square. The Durbar Square are is really made from two sub-areas. Boudhanath Stupa is that the largest stupa in Nepal. Bodnath Stupa is that the most famous and old stupa that lies to the east of Kathmandu city nearby famous Pashupatinath Temple.The holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet is that the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is found within the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath temple is that the most religious temple for Hindus everywhere the planet . it's the temple of Lord Shiva. Pashupati, may be a Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River in Deopatan, a village 3 km northwest of Kathmandu. it's dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals). It attracts thousands of pilgrims annually and has become documented far beyond the Kathmandu Valley. The temple is barred to non-Hindus, but an honest view of the temple are often had from the other bank of the river.
It is a square, two-tiered pagoda temple built on a single-tier plinth, and it stands 23.6 meters above the bottom . Richly ornamented gilt and silver-plated doors are on all sides.
On each side of every door are niches of varied sizes containing gold-painted images of guardian deities. Inside the temple itself may be a narrow ambulatory round the sanctum. The sanctum contains a one-meter high linga with four faces (chaturmukha) representing Pashupati, also as images of Vishnu, Surya, Devi and Ganesh.
The priests of Pashaputinath are called Bhattas and therefore the chief priest is named Mool Bhatt or Raval. The chief priest is answerable only to the King of Nepal and reports to him on temple matters on a periodic basis.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square

The 55-window was built by King Yaksha Malla in 1427 and have intricately carved wooden balcony and windows.

This ancient temple is devoted to the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu and located on a hilltop 8 km east of Kathmandu.
