Kathmandu Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square also referred to as Hanuman Dhoka Square is one among the main attractions in Kathmandu Valley. it's declared as world heritage site by UNESCO. Boudhanath Stupa

The stupa is found within the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.

Pashupati Temple

Pashupatinath temple is that the most religious temple for Hindus everywhere the planet . it's the temple of Lord Shiva. Pashupati, may be a Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River in Deopatan, a village 3 km northwest of Kathmandu. it's dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals). It attracts thousands of pilgrims annually and has become documented far beyond the Kathmandu Valley. The temple is barred to non-Hindus, but an honest view of the temple are often had from the other bank of the river.

It is a square, two-tiered pagoda temple built on a single-tier plinth, and it stands 23.6 meters above the bottom . Richly ornamented gilt and silver-plated doors are on all sides.

On each side of every door are niches of varied sizes containing gold-painted images of guardian deities. Inside the temple itself may be a narrow ambulatory round the sanctum. The sanctum contains a one-meter high linga with four faces (chaturmukha) representing Pashupati, also as images of Vishnu, Surya, Devi and Ganesh.

The priests of Pashaputinath are called Bhattas and therefore the chief priest is named Mool Bhatt or Raval. The chief priest is answerable only to the King of Nepal and reports to him on temple matters on a periodic basis.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Nyatapola Temple: This five storied Pagoda Style temple was built by King Bhupatindra Malla in 1708 A.D. it's documented for its massive structure and subtle workmanship and is that the tallest pagoda structure within the Kathmandu.

Bhaktapur or Bhadgaun is that the popular city inside Kathmandu valley. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square contains innumerable temples and architectural wonders like lion gate, the Golden Gate , the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, Dattatraya Temple etc. Bhatkatpur Durbar Square was listed within the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List in 1979. The 55-window was built by King Yaksha Malla in 1427 and have intricately carved wooden balcony and windows.

Chagunarayan Temple

Changu Narayan said to possess been inbuilt 323 AD by King Hari Datta is that the oldest temple in Nepal. This ancient temple is devoted to the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu and located on a hilltop 8 km east of Kathmandu. The pagoda-style temple contains several masterpieces of Nepalese art from as early as 5th century.
