The Mardi Himal Trek is relatively new and becoming very popular amongst the local tourists. It offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains, including Mardi Himal, Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) as well as chance to experience the local culture and lifestyle of the Gurung and Magar communities.
The Trek starts from the scenic city of Pokhara and follows the winding trails through lush forests, rhododendron forests and high alpine meadows.
The highest point of the trek is Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m), which offers panoramic views of the Annapurna range and surrounding peaks.  This trek is moderate, suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers, however trekkers should be prepared for the altitude and weather  changes and have a good level of fitness.
